Prompt #19 for the 2024 "Pinuptober" drawing challenge was huntress.
 
For this prompt, I of course had to go with the well known goddess of the hunt herself, Artemis. A powerful daughter of Zeus, she was worshiped throughout the ancient Greek world as one of the 12 Olympians. The invention of archery is credited to Artemis and her twin brother, the powerful god Apollo. 
 
In many versions of Greek myths, Artemis was born before her brother and then minutes later helped her mother Leto give birth to her twin. This was how she became a goddess of childbirth and midwifery. Mythology is wild!
