Prompt #16 for the 2024 "Pinuptober" drawing challenge was magician.
I love learning about various pantheons and mythologies. So for the prompt magian I had to try my had at the Greek goddess of magic, Hecate. This piece was challenging but I greatly enjoyed working on it. I included many details that are associated with the well known goddess but I took some liberty in depicting her 3 in 1 nature.
She is a popular and powerful goddess. If you don't already know her stories, I highly recommend researching this interesting deity.
Bonus fun fact - The song that I stumbled across to accompany the image when I posted this piece on Instagram keeps getting stuck in my head. (:
