    Undrowning - Wave 4

    Wave 4 - Wearing Water. The 4th wave in this series from 2012. The subject now has power over the flood waters that previously overwhelmed her. Unlike Waves 1- 3, she stares directly at the viewer. She rises gracefully, on gentle waves that she controls, she is wearing the water as a beautiful badge. She is transformed. A sense of balance is beginning to emerge from the complex tapestry of memories that the water carries. Yet, looking closely, one could also see disconnected

    Art + Work + Living Painting Challenge

    Participated in a 5 Day Painting challenge put forth by Mary Gilkerson who runs a Facebook Community for artists called Art + Work + Living. The challenge was to paint for 20 - 40 minutes each day for 5 days. 5 days was perfect because it was nice and short and I had just found 5 canvases at Goodwill. #ArtWorkLivingChallenge Day 1 I started with the smallest canvas.
