April Update

Hi, hello there, lovely internet people! It's been a while since I've posted a blog so I hope this finds you well.

While much of my inventory is at Artists' Hub of the Ace Basin (AHAB's) there are a few new prints and items in the store for you including stickers! Also, in case you haven't heard, I've got a coloring book available at AHAB's or through Amazon!

I've also been making updates to this site as well. The galleries and the shop area are probably going to a look a lot different if you haven't checked things out in a while. More updates are still to come as I continue to work through things. I'm also working on my second coloring book as well as an actual book!

I've recently updated the shipping options to get rid of the more expensive options. I don't know how USPS calculates this stuff but wow... $50 to ship a sticker seems like a bit much to me. I also didn't want to set a flat fee for everything because it would try to charge you $4-$5 to ship a sticker! As I am a mostly one woman show, I opted to keep the lowest USPS shipping calculations and offer codes to wave the shipping on smaller items. I've also added free pick up or delivery for the Summerville area!

You can still find me on Patreon, Facebook, and Instagram if you search for Renewed Views. Patreon supporters get early notice when I am adding new merch as well as access to behind the scenes, and progress photos that I don't post anywhere else. Recently, I have also started streaming art on Twitch! Right now I'm still figuring things out but so far I have been drawing digital art while we discuss any number of topics including various ancient mythologies and deities, weird bible stories, and general history. It's a lot of fun to get to interact with others while drawing. I hope you'll join me there some time.

If I can set it up I may do a soda bottle creations live stream on both Twitch and Facebook on Earth Day later this month. If I can't figure both out, I'll be doing the stream on twitch. I'm also considering adding a live stream on Facebook that is a color along stream. We'd just take 30-60 minutes to draw together from any coloring book and then show off the colorful creations at the end. I am hesitant to schedule these because so few people showed up for zen line nights last year. It's just no fun to keep showing up by my self.

Finally, I haven't been as active lately due to multiple things. The first is depression from grief. The last few years I have lost one, usually multiple people including family, friends, and acquaintances. The losses started before Covid, and have continued through. Of course the pandemic has come with it's own losses and grief of what once was. All of that is on top of my existing PTSD and anxieties. Additionally, after I became a mom, I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism. It is fairly severe. It can cause muscle aches and fatigue and boy has it been doing that! Due to our "wonderful" health care system... I wasn't on medication for several years. I have been back on it for about a year now but I'm not sure it's working as well as it should lately. My recent lab work agrees with me.

With all of these things occurring, it has been difficult for me to commit to a schedule for posts and events. As I said earlier, I am basically a one woman show. The limited energy that I have has to go to my family first. There is a fire hose of sites and events coming at us all the time and it is hard to keep up. That said, I do try to update Facebook and Instagram often and Patreon at least once or twice a month. I have set a M,W,F schedule for Twitch but with how I have been feeling I may have to adjust it moving forward.

Thank you for your continued support and for reading through this blog. See you again soon!

PS: Please take a moment to check out the shop, my dental, doctor, and car repair bills will thank you! If that isn't an option, please find me on social media to like and share because that helps a lot too. Support is never expected but always appreciated!
